Travel Information

HEALTH: No vaccinations are required but it is recommended that visitors have innoculations against cholera, polio, typhoid, hepatitis, rabies and tetanus, plus anti-malaria pills if traveling to remote areas. All personal medicines should be taken along.

VISA: Visas are not available on arrival and the time needed to process visas at Vietnamese consulates varies. Allow at least 10 days when booking a tour. Individual visas can be difficult to obtain and it is required that all tours are booked through registered local travel companies. Business visitors should seek the help of Vietnamese Chambers of Commerce. Visas specify the ports of entry and exit (the latter can be changed through a local travel agent). On arrival visitors must fill out another visa application and submit it with photo at Immigration. Be sure keep the stamped landing card until you leave the country.

Visa regulations are subject to change. Check with your travel agent.
